A Smashing Good Time

Hello my lovely crafty friends. It's Sharette and I am here with my monthly post for SOC. I have really been off my game with my card making.. I don't make any excuses for that. Crafting is still my passion, but sometimes as we all know life gets in the way!! Does not mean that I have abandon my pencils and love for coloring..these days I just want to color and not necessarily make a full blown card.. So this bring me to my post and the project that I want to share with you all today.
My Very first "Smash" book page. I have had several Smash Book from when they first came out "years" ago.. LOL. Like everyone else I bought the books to log and journal different aspect of my life, but they just sat under my desk and collected dust; just for the simple fact that I was too scared to start one because I didn't know how to start one and I just didn't think I would be good at it.
Here is just some of my stash. I pulled them out and just pilled them all on my desk and I said "just make something, anything. As long as I put something on my page I was going to start and hopefully the more I do the better my pages will start to look.

This is one of 3 smash book that I have.. you can see how tattered the covering is. I have been a "Healthy life style" change for the last few months. It's important that I document the process because I know that it will help me reach what every goal I set for my self on a daily basis, even if I don't make it on some days I think it's important to track that too.
I started with this little cutie here.. She is a "digi" from Simply Betty Stamps Co.  "You can Do This".. It says it all doesn't it. She is colored with my Prisma pencils and OMS.
Here she is on my Smash book page.. Again I had No idea what I was doing, I just took some embellishments and glued them on to my page.
Here is my actual "food Journal" that I started on Aug 1. I used my Notes app on my phone and just journal my meals and food as the day went along.

Here is another Image from SBS. this is "Oh Oh Betty" I love her. don't we all sweat a little before we look down at our "numbers" lol. Again she is colored with my Prisma colored pencils and OMS. Hair: 945, 1003, 937 Twoel: 915,916,942, 1003, 941
And here is here page. . Again just used some of my DP from a 12x12 paper pack, some flowers that I had already stamped and die cut in my stash. and a stamp sentiment that I stamped right on to the page.
This is such a beautiful and powerful statement. when I picked this up from my Unity stamp box, I knew that I wanted to use it, because it said everything. It  is  "My journey" and if I stay the course, I will be come 'stronger".
Here is another shot of my page. I know that it's pretty simple, but I left it pretty open, so that when I go back to it, I may want to add more clipping, or I may want to write my personal feelings, or I can just leave it as is and continue to log and journal.
Now I know you ladies/and gents have done Smash books, some of you may be just starting out like me and some of you may be pros' at it and are probably looking at mine and saying "I can do better that that".. LOL well I want to see. Show me some of your Smash books, I would really LOVE to get some feed backs and ideas on this one, I can use all the help I can get.. I hope you all enjoy the remaining days of summer.

Happy Smashing
Sharette
